Free financial wellness workshop Feb. 22 sponsored by Delta Sigma Theta, open to community

A free financial wellness workshop open to the public will take place on Saturday, Feb. 22,  from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Dale City Christian Church, 14022 Lindendale Road, Woodbridge, VA 22193.

“Being a Good Steward of What God has Blessed You With “ is being sponsored by the Prince William County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta, a sorority of professional women that is active in many areas of the community, in partnership with Dale City Christian Church.

If your resolution was financial health, financial freedom, financial independence, financial fortitude, or other financial goals, this workshop is designed to prepare attendees to prosper and leave a financial legacy by providing structure and guidance to individuals and families on building wealth, a news release said.

Workshop topics include:  Financial Overhaul, Become a better Steward, Credit :  Make your Score Soar, Make your money work for you, Forecast, Budget, Setting Goals,  Business Planning, What is a business plan? Who writes a business plan? What do you do with the plan?  Money 101 for Teens and Young Adults—Millionaire by 30,  Tips to keep Seniors safe from Financial abuse, Elder Care, Identity theft, Senior Scams & Fraud, Tax Strategies and Planning. 

Financial management experts, Randy Jones a wealth management advisor, and tax strategist Sherry Feggins will provide information and lead the workshop discussions.
