Suspect arrested in Oct. 4 armed robbery of Balls Ford Rd. McDonald’s

On October 9, detectives from the Violent Crimes Unit identified the suspect sought in connection with the armed robbery that was reported to have occurred at the McDonald’s located at 10730 Balls Ford Rd. in Manassas (20109) on October 4. Following the investigation, the suspect, identified as Charles Terraine Williams BARNES Jr., was arrested without incident.

Armed Robbery [Previously Released] – On October 4 at 4:55PM, officers responded to the McDonald’s located at 10730 Balls Ford Rd. in Manassas (20109) to investigate a robbery. A store employee reported to police that while paying for his order in the drive thru, an unknown man exited his vehicle and approached the window. During the encounter, the suspect brandished a gun, reached through the window and took the money from the open register. The suspect returned to the vehicle and fled the scene. The employee immediately contacted the police. No injuries were reported. The investigation continues.
