Alexandria man charged with rape and unlawful dissemination of photos

Sexual Assault Investigation – On October 2, detectives with the Special Victims Unit concluded an investigation into a sexual assault that was reported to have occurred at a residence in the Woodbridge (22193) area of Prince William County earlier that morning.

The victim, a 59-year-old woman, reported to police that while visiting her residence, an acquaintance, identified as the accused, forced himself on her and sexually assaulted her. The victim waited until the accused fell asleep before leaving the residence and going to a nearby fire station where the police were contacted. The victim was transported to a local hospital for evaluation and treatment.

The accused was located a short time later by responding officers and taken into custody without incident. The victim also disclosed that the accused recently posted inappropriate pictures of her online without her consent. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Stewart Kendrell COOK, was arrested.
