Three unnamed persons charged in Manassas shooting

The Manassas City Police Department reports it has made arrests in connection with a shooting that occurred in the 8600 block of Liberia Ave on August 12, 2019.

According to the police report, Manassas City Police Department investigators have charged two adult suspects and a juvenile suspect as a result of the investigation.

The Manassas Police Department’s report of arrests said that, “The three suspects are currently in custody and it is believed there is no outstanding threat to the public. Due to the active status of the investigation, the identities of the suspects are not being released at this time.”

On Monday, August 12, 2019, at 6:25pm, an officer of the Manassas City Police Department was on patrol in the 8600 block of Liberia Ave when they were approached by an adult male victim suffering from multiple suspected gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital and treated for serious but non-life-threatening injuries. At this time, it is believed the shooting was not a random act. The investigation is ongoing and more information will be released when available.
