**INCIDENTS**
Shooting Investigation – On June 21 at 10:06PM, officers responded to the OWL Volunteer Fire Station located at 14591 Jefferson Davis Hwy. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a shooting. The victim, a 26-year-old man, reported to police that he had been shot in the chest area during a road rage incident on Rte. 1 near Featherstone Rd.
Police said the victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Detectives from the Violent Crimes Unit responded to assume the investigation. A shell casing and other evidence were located near the intersection of Featherstone Rd. and Blackburn Rd. The incident is isolated to the individuals involved and there is no public threat at this time, according to Off. Renee Carr, police department spokesman and the investigation is continuing.
Malicious Wounding – On June 21 at 11:49PM, officers responded to the Marumsco Mobile Home Park located at 13974 Jefferson Davis Hwy. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an assault. Responding officers spoke with the victim, a 33-year-old male, briefly before he was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries, according to the police report.
The investigation revealed the victim was involved in a verbal altercation with two unknown individuals that escalated. During the encounter, a witness observed the suspects using some type of object to strike the victim in the head and body. The parties separated and left the area on foot, including the victim. Concerned individuals contacted the police when they observed the victim in the Mobile Home Park. Officers searched the area for the suspects who were not located. There is no suspect description at this time. The investigation continues, Off. Carr said.
Indecent Exposure – On June 23 at 9:22PM, officers responded to investigate an indecent exposure that occurred at the Bristoe Station Battlefield Park located at 10708 Bristow Rd. in Bristow (20136) earlier that evening, accoring to a police department report.The victim, a 50-year-old woman, reported to police that she had been walking near the Visitor Center when an unknown individual, identified as the suspect, walked out of the park.
After the two passed each other, they both continued walking. Shortly after, the victim turned around and observed the suspect looking at her with his pants pulled down, exposing himself and making obscene gestures. The victim left the area and reported the incident to police. Officers checked the area and did not locate the suspect. The investigation continues. The suspect is described as awhite male, 25-35 years old, with a scraggly beard and thin build and wearing light colored clothing, Off. Carr said.
