Masked armed robbery in Woodbridge;  shooting in Gainesville

**INCIDENTS**
Armed Robbery – On March 2 at 2:25PM, officers responded to investigate a robbery that was reported to have occurred at the Exxon service station located at 12700 Minniville Rd. in Woodbridge (22192) earlier that morning at approximately 1:49AM. The investigation revealed two masked suspects entered the front door of the business where one of the suspects brandished a firearm towards the clerk while the other suspect took cigarettes and an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register. The suspects are believed to have fled the business on foot. The clerk notified the store manager after the incident and the manager contacted the police. No injuries were reported.

A black masked individual with a blue jacket

Shooting Investigation – On March 3 at 3:07AM, officers responded to the 14000 block of Deming Dr. in Gainesville (20155) to investigate a shooting. When officers arrived, they located the victim, later identified as a 32-year-old man, suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers provided immediate first aid to the victim before he was transported to an area hospital. The investigation revealed victim was in the area near Deming Dr. between 2:00AM and 3:00AM when he was allegedly shot and wounded by an unknown suspect. The gunshot wound is believed to be non-life threatening and victim is expected to survive. No suspects have been identified. This incident is not believed to be random at this time. The investigation continues.
