Burglary to a Place of Worship – On January 31 at 8:06PM, officers responded to the Northern Virginia Baptist Church located at 14019 Glenkirk Rd in Gainesville (20155) to investigate a burglary. Church staff reported to police that sometime between 4:00PM and 4:16PM, four juvenile males were seen attempting to gain entry into one of the buildings on the property. The suspects fled the area on foot when a staff member attempted to confront them. No entry was made into the building, and no property was reported missing. The investigation continues.
Attempted Commercial Burglary – On February 1 at 4:45AM, officers responded to the BP service station located at 12576 Grand Targhee Dr in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate an attempted burglary. The investigation revealed that around 2:52AM, an unknown suspect attempted to break a glass door with a rock without success. No entry was made into the business, and no property was reported missing. Minor damage was reported to the door. The investigation continues.
Commercial Burglary – On February 1 at 2:15AM, officers responded to the Tobacco Time located at 2898 Garber Way in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a burglary. The business owner reported to police that he received an alarm activation notice at 1:40AM and responded to the store. When he arrived, he discovered that the front glass door has been shattered and contacted police. Various merchandise was reported missing. Video surveillance revealed that two unknown suspects wearing all black were involved. A police K-9 searched the surrounding the area for the suspects who were not located. Photos will be released when available. The investigation continues.
