Shoplifting
On January 3, 2019, at 5:29 p.m., an officer of the Manassas City Police Department responded to the Home Depot at 8805 Liberia Ave. in reference to a report of shoplifting.

A loss prevention employee of the business reported two suspects entered the store and placed a 32-gallon trash can into a shopping cart. The suspects then concealed multiple Leviton-brand ground-fault circuit interrupters (GFCIs) in the trash can and left the store without paying.

The suspects were observed leaving in a white Dodge van displaying New York tag JES-5536. The suspects are believed to be involved in similar incidents at other Home Depots in the region. The total value of the items reported stolen is in excess of $1,800.

The investigation is ongoing.
