Police search for suspect for allegedly brandishing a machete in Woodbridge

Brandishing a Machete – On July 28 at 5:34AM, officers responded to the 14700 block of Anderson St in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a possible fight.

The investigation revealed that the victim, a 42-year-old man of Woodbridge, was involved in a verbal altercation with the accused, an acquaintance, which escalated. During the encounter, the accused brandished a machete at the victim, the police report stated.

The accused then followed the victim as he attempted to walk away until the victim was eventually able to get into his vehicle and drive away. The accused fled the area prior to officers arriving. Following the investigation, officers obtained an arrest warrant for the accused, identified as Jose Simon REYES ALFARO, who has not been located, according to the police department’s incident report.
