Strong Armed Robbery
On Aug. 20 at 10:41 p.m., police responded to the 13300 block of Occoquan Road in Woodbridge for a robbery. The male victim, 55 of Woodbridge, reported to police he was walking by the 7-11 in the area above when he was approached by an unknown female. Shortly thereafter, an unknown person approached him from behind and struck him in the head, which knocked him to the ground. The victim’s wallet, containing an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency, was reported missing. The victim sustained minor injuries. The victim was unable to provide police with a description of the suspects.
Shooting into an Occupied Dwelling
On Aug. 21st at 9:29 p.m., police responded to the 3700 block of Chico Ct. in Woodbridge for a shooting into an occupied dwelling. Homeowner reported to police she and family members were in an upstairs living room when they heard a loud noise. Upon investigating the noise, a large silver SUV was seen leaving the area at a high rate of speed. Holes were also discovered in a basement bathroom, which were believed to have been caused by an unknown firearm. No injuries were reported.
ARRESTS
Malicious Wounding
On Aug. 21 at 12:39 a.m., police responded to the area of 7500 block of Purdue Ct. in Manassas for a stabbing. The investigation revealed that the male victim, 32 of Manassas, was visiting the accused, a known acquaintance, at his residence in to the above area. The two got into a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused stabbed the victim multiple times before fleeing the area. Police canvassed the area, located the accused on Miramar Drive and Balls Ford Road where he was arrested without further incident. The victim was flown to an area hospital with nonlife threatening injuries. Arrested: Alfonso Fuentes Menjivar, 42, of 7518 Purdue Ct. in Manassas. Charged with malicious wounding. Court date set for Sept. 28, 2011, held without bond.
Assault & Battery on Law Enforcement Officer
On Aug. 19 at 4:40 p.m., police stopped a vehicle in the 1300 block of Horner Road in Woodbridge in reference to a previous, unrelated incident. The driver, the accused, was subsequently detained on suspicions of driving under the influence of alcohol. As officers attempted to arrest the accused, he became aggressive and resisted. During the struggle, the accused was able to kick one of the officers in the face. The officer received a minor injury. The accused was eventually subdued and was charged. Arrested: Noe Alexander Vasquez-Guzman, 29, of 1151 Marseille Lane in Woodbridge. Charged with assault and battery on a law enforcement officer, driving under the influence and resisting arrest. Court sate set for Sept. 30, 2011, held on an $8,000 secured bond

Burglary
On Aug. 22 at 1:12 a.m., police responded to the 18100 block of Purvis Dr in Triangle for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police at around 10:30 p.m., she heard a noise coming from a back door. As she investigated the noise, she observed an unknown man inside of her residence. A noise from a neighboring residence then scared the man who fled out of the same door. No items were reported missing and there were no signs of forced entry. The homeowner was unable to provide police with a description of the suspect.
Burglary
On Aug. 21 at 11:40 p.m., police responded to the 12400 block of Skipper Circle in Woodbridge for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police the burglary occurred between 7 and 11 p.m. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. Entry is believed to have been made through a rear sliding glass door found opened. An XBox and related games valuing around $350 were reported missing.
Burglary
On Aug. 21st at 10:26 a.m., police responded to the 18300 block of Cabin Rd in Triangle for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police the burglary occurred between an unknown time on Aug. 17 and 10:15 p.m. on Aug. 21. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence, however, blunt force appeared to have been used to gain entry into a locked room within the residence. Two TVs, belonging to the homeowner, valued around $300 were found destroyed within the residence.
Burglary
On Aug. 19 at 3:03 p.m., police responded to the 16800 block of Toms River Loop in Dumfries for a burglary in progress. Caller reported to police two unknown men were seen entering a residence in the area above. Police arrived and observed a window, which previously housed an A/C unit. The unit had been removed, which is believed to have been the point of entry. No suspects were located inside the residence. A laptop valued around $500 and an unknown amount of jewelry were reported missing. The caller was unable to provide police with a description of the suspects.
Burglary
On Aug. 15 at 5:20 p.m., police responded to the 12100 block of Brothers Ct. in Manassas for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police the burglary occurred between 8:15 a.m. and 5 p.m. Entry appeared to have been made into an attached garage then through an interior door that had been forced opened. Jewelry and an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency was reported missing.
