Public meeting on proposed school at Chinn Park rescheduled to Jan. 7
The second Community Input session on the proposed PW Parkway Elementary School at Chinn Park has been re-scheduled from December 15, 2015 to January 7, 2016, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Gar-Field High School.
This date change will allow School Division staff to more fully address concerns raised at the first community input session, will provide additional time for all interested members of the public to become informed, and will introduce additional transparency and responsiveness into the process.
The School Division says it “still faces a challenging timeline to gain approval to locate the school at Chinn Park and construct the facility to open for students in September, 2018, as shown in the Capital Improvements Program (CIP).”
Staff anticipates presenting a finalized proposal to the Prince William County Planning Commission in late January, 2016.
The meeting will be held at Gar-Field High School on Thursday, January 7, 2016, 7-9 p.m.
