Legislators ask SCC to hold power line hearing in Haymarket
The members of the Haymarket area General Assembly delegation, including Delegate Bob Marshall, Delegate Tim Hugo, Delegate-elect John Bell, Senator Richard Stuart and Senator Dick Black, sent a letter to the State Corporation Commission requesting that the SCC members consider holding the public hearing at a time when the members of the delegation are able to attend preferably after the General Assembly adjourns.
In addition, they requested that the SCC ensure that the facility chosen for the public hearing is large enough for all who want to be heard to attend, noting that a town hall on the subject in January 2015 reached capacity for the high school where it was held.
