Sexual Assault
On July 27 at 10:05 a.m., police responded to investigate a sexual assault, which was reported to have occurred in the 5800 block of Rhode Island Dr in Woodbridge. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 5 year old girl, had been sexually assaulted by the accused, a known acquaintance between June 2010 and December 2010. The accused was charged and arrested on July 27. Arrested: Christopher Clark Stevenson, 22, of the 5800 block of Rhode Island Dr. in Woodbridge. Charged with aggravated sexual battery and object sexual penetration. Court date unavailable, held without bond.
Burglary with Intent to Commit Assault / Malicious Wounding
On July 28 at 1:15 a.m., police responded to the 12200 block of Stoneybrook Dr in Manassas for an assault. The female and male victims, both 20, reported to police that the accused, a known acquaintance, had come over to their residence, in the above area, and started banging on the basement door where the victims reside. After getting no response, the accused went around to the front door and began to bang on that door. As the female victim was opening the door to tell the accused to leave, the accused pushed past her, armed with a large metal object. The accused continued to the basement where he encountered the other victim and struck him in the head with the metal object. After the assault, the accused struck the victims’ car with the metal object before fleeing in a vehicle. The male victim was transported to an area hospital for his injuries. The accused was later located and arrested without further incident. Arrested: Sherman Sligh, 21, of 9705 Evans Ford Road in Manassas. Charged with burglary with intent to commit assault, malicious wounding and destruction of property. Court date and bond information unavailable.
Burglary
On July 26 at 2 p.m., police responded to the 6800 block of Hollow Glen Ct in Gainesville for a disorderly subject. Caller reported to police that the accused, a known acquaintance, was not acting right and may have taken medication not prescribed to him. As police were on scene, a homeowner down the same block reported her residence being burglarized. The medication found to have been used by the accused belonged to that homeowner. Entry appeared to have been gained through a rear window. Electronics and jewelry were also found to be missing from the residence. Some of that property was recovered. Arrested: Michael Christoff, 21, of 6821 Hollow Glen Ct. in Gainesville. Charged with burglary and grand larceny. Court date unavailable, held on a $20,000 secured bond.

On July 27 at 10:52 p.m., police responded to the 14300 block of Westminister Lane in Dale City for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police the burglary occurred between 10:15 and 10:50 p.m. Entry appeared to have been made through a lower-level window that had been broken out. Gaming equipment valued around $2,000 was reported missing.

On July 27 at 12:41 a.m., police responded to the 4700 block of Koester Dr. in Woodbridge for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 3 p.m. on July 26 and 12:41 a.m. on July 27. Entry appeared to have been made through an opened rear sliding glass door. Electronics, including a laptop, DVD player and gaming equipment, valued around $1,000 were reported missing.

On July 27 at 5:59 p.m., police responded to the 2700 block of Omisol Road in Woodbridge for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police the burglary occurred between 7:30 p.m. on July 26 and 12:30 a.m. on July 27. Entry appeared to have been made through an opened attached garage. No significant items of value were reported missing.

On July 27 at 2:54 a.m., police responded to the 13400 block of Gordon Dr in Manassas for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police the burglary occurred between 4:30 and 6:45 p.m. for July 23. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. Miscellaneous collectables, valued around $2,000, were reported missing.

On July 26 at 9:05 p.m., police responded to the 14300 block of Ferndale Road in Woodbridge for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police the burglary occurred between 9 p.m. on July 24 and 3 p.m. on July 25. Entry appeared to have been made through a rear basement window that had been pried opened. Copper pipes valued around $50 were reported missing, however, water damage from the pipes stolen was estimated around $10,000.
