Incidents and arrests released on Monday, Oct. 12, 2015
**INCIDENTS**
Crash – Fatality – On October 11th at 1:27PM, investigators from the Crash Investigation Unit responded to the 8400 block of Cabin Branch Ct in Manassas (20111) to investigate a crash involving a dirt bike. The investigation revealed that the victim, identified as an 11 year old boy, was riding a 2007 CR85 Honda dirt bike with two other acquaintances on private property along a dirt track in the wooded area above. At one point, the victim lost control and struck a tree. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he died a short time later as a result of injuries. The victim was wearing a helmet at the time at the time of the incident.
Identified:
The victim was identified as Colby Thomas SMITH, 11, of Manassas
Attempted Armed Robbery – On October 11th at 2:26AM, officers responded to the area of Armstead St and Carter Ln in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an attempted robbery. The victim, a 33 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was walking in the area above when he was approached by two unknown men. During the encounter, one of the men struck the victim in the face while the other man brandished a knife. The men demanded the victim’s property and took his wallet and shoes before fleeing on foot. No injuries were reported. A police K-9 was used to search for the men who were not located.
Suspect Descriptions:
2 black males, between 20 & 25 years age, 5’9”-5’10”, 150lbs with thin builds, black hair and brown eyes
Both were last seen dark colored clothing
**ARRESTS**
Aggravated Malicious Wounding – On October 9th at 8:50PM, officers responded to the 4800 block of Dale Blvd in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a shooting. Witnesses reported to police that multiple gunshots were heard in the area above. Once on scene, officers located damage to the window of a nearby business. A short time later, the victim, a 20 year old man of Woodbridge, arrived at a nearby hospital for treatment of a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the lower body. Detectives quickly determined that this shooting was not random and had stemmed from a previous encounter between the parties involved. Following the investigation, detectives obtained warrants for the suspect who was located and arrested in Prince George’s County on October 12th.

Brandon Luis CROSBY, 18, of 13848 Delaney Rd in Woodbridge
Charged with aggravated malicious wounding, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and reckless handling of a firearm
