Attempted Robbery / Assault & Battery
On June 11 at 2:23 a.m., police responded to the area of Copeland and Bland drives in Manassas for an assault. The male victim, of Manassas, reported to police he was walking in the area above when he was approached by a group of unknown individuals. One of the male individuals struck the victim knocking him to the ground demanding the victim’s property. The victim yelled for help and the group took off running. No property was taken and the victim sustained minor injuries. The group could only be described as two white males, two black males and two females, unknown race.
ARRESTS
Burglary / Assault & Battery
On June 11 at 1:16 a.m., police responded to the 12800 block of Hunterbrook Dr. in Woodbridge for a fight. The male victim, 25 of Dumfries, reported to police he was in the front yard of a residence in the above area when the accused, a known acquaintance, had come to the residence and was told to leave. The accused allegedly struck the victim in the face and a fight ensued. The victim was able to get inside the residence and lock the door. The accused then proceeded to kick in the door to gain entry and was successful. The accused fought with the victim and the two fell through a rear sliding glass door. The parties had separated prior to police arrival. The victim was transported to an area hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries. The accused was arrested without further incident and charged. Arrested: Noble Drew Ali, 26, of 2166 Ash Loop in Woodbridge. Charged with breaking and entering into an occupied residence and assault and battery. Court date set for Aug. 12, 2011, held without bond.
Brandishing
On June 11 at 2:56 a.m., police responded to the 4500 block of Eaton Ct. in Woodbridge for a subject with a gun call. The male victim, 51 of Woodbridge, reported to police he and the accused, a known acquaintance, got into a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused, allegedly displayed a handgun to the victim and a woman, 22. No injuries were reported. The accused was arrested and charged. Arrested: Miguel Antonio Saucedo Jaimes, 19, of 4509 Eaton Ct. in Woodbridge. Charged with two counts of brandishing a firearm. Court date set for July 14, 2011, released on a $2,000 unsecured bond.
Narcotics Investigation
On June 10, police were executing a search warrant at 11720 Lakeway Dr. in Manassas in reference to an ongoing investigation when narcotics were discovered. Over 4 lbs. of marijuana, cocaine and heroin were recovered, as well as multiple firearms, including rifles and handguns. Police also seized an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency. The following individuals were either arrested or currently being sought by police. Arrested: Charles Omus Deeds III, 35, of 11720 Lakeway Dr. in Manassas. Charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of a firearm with narcotics and conspiracy to distribute marijuana. Court date set for July 27, 2011, held without bond.
Wanted: Charles Omus Deeds Jr., 60, of 11720 Lakeway Dr. in Manassas. Considered Armed and Dangerous. Described as a white male, 5’10” 185 lbs., blue eyes, brown hair. Charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of a firearm with narcotics and conspiracy to distribute marijuana.
Wanted: Daniel Matthew Deeds, 34, of 11720 Lakeway Dr. in Manassas. Considered Armed and Dangerous. Described as a white male, 6’0” 210 lbs., blue eyes, blonde hair. Wanted for possession with intent to distribute marijuana.
OTHER INCIDENT REPORTS
Attempted Burglary
On June 11 at 8:15 a.m., police responded to the 12700 block of Inverness Way in Woodbridge for an attempted burglary. Homeowner reported to police that between 11 p.m. on June 10 and 7 a.m. on June 11, an unknown person possibly attempted to enter the residence through a rear window. Homeowner stated the screen on the window had been pushed up and the rear ate was opened. No entry was gained into the residence and no items were reported missing.
Attempted Burglary
On June 10 at 9:39 a.m., police responded to the 1800 block of Sugar Hill Dr. in Woodbridge for an attempted burglary. Homeowner reported to police that between 7:30 p.m. on June 9 and 7:50 a.m. on June 10, an unknown person possibly attempted to enter the residence through the front door. Homeowner stated paint was scrapped from the trim near the door knob. No entry was gained into the residence and no items were reported missing.
