UPDATE
Indecent Liberties Arrest
On May 24, the accused turned himself into police. Arrested: Edward Bryan Corbin, 44, of 12835 Fitzwater Dr. in Nokesville. Charged with indecent liberties, distribution of drugs to a person under 18, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of marijuana. Court date unavailable, held without bond.
Previously released information: On May 18 at 10:27 p.m., police responded to investigate a sexual assault which was reported to have occurred in the 12800 block of Fitzwater Dr in Nokesville. The female victim, 16 of Fauquier, reported to police she had been sexually assaulted by the accused after he had given her nonprescribed drugs. The victim left the residence and reported the incident to police. A search warrant was executed at the residence of the accused. The accused was not located at the time of the search warrant. Police are asking for the public’s help in locating the accused.
INCIDENT REPORTS
Home Invasion
On May 23 at 9:09 p.m., police responded to the 9000 block of Westchester Dr in Manassas for a home invasion. The male victim, 23 of Manassas, reported to police he heard his dog barking from the rear of the residence. As the victim opened a rear basement door, he was approached by four or more unknown men, all wearing masks. One of the men displayed a handgun and struck the victim in the head. Other occupants in the house heard the scuffle, which caused the assailants to flee the house. Before fleeing, the men were able to retrieve an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency from the victim. Minor injuries were reported. The incident does not appear to be a random act. The investigation continues.
Malicious Wounding
On May 21 at 10 p.m. police responded to investigate an alleged assault, which was reported to have occurred at an unknown location in Woodbridge. The male victim, 25 of Alexandria, reported to police he was involved in a verbal altercation with a known acquaintance, which escalated. During the encounter, the accused allegedly stabbed the victim with an unknown sharp object. The victim was treated at an area hospital for his injuries, which were nonlife threatening. The investigation continues.
Strong Armed Robbery
On May 22 at 1:02 a.m., police responded to the area of Constellation Place and Oriskany Way in Woodbridge for a robbery. The male victim, 14 of Woodbridge, reported to police he was in the area above with two other males when they were approached by three unknown males. One of the males assaulted the victim and took an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency, a cell phone and a watch before leaving the area on foot. The victim could only advise police on the assailant description. Lookout: Black male, between 20 and 24, 5’10” 160 lbs., medium build.
OTHER INCIDENT REPORTS
Burglary
On May 21 at 9:46 a.m., police responded to the 11900 block of Holly View Ct in Woodbridge for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police the burglary occurred between 4 and 9 a.m. Entry appeared to have been gained through an unsecured rear sliding glass door. A TV and computer monitor valued around $1,900 were reported missing.
