Water to be shut down 9-5 along part of Vint HIll Road Jan. 15
The City of Manassas Water Department will be performing valve work on the City’s 24-inch water transmission main on Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014, according to Patty Prince, public affairs specialit for the City of Manassas.
Customers served by the city’s water department along Vint Hill Road in the Fox Chase Community will be without water from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday.
Once the water is back in service, after 5 p.m., some customers may notice discolored water. If this occurs, run your cold water taps for about 10-15 minutes.
If you are still experiencing issues, call the City’s 24-hour Operations Center at (703) 257-8353. The rest of the City’s water service will not be impacted during this time, a news release said.
