INCIDENT REPORTS:
Assault by Mob
On May 3 at 9:58 p.m., police responded to the 2800 block of Banks Ct in Dumfries for an assault. The victim, 60, from Dumfries, reported to police he was walking up to his residence when he was approached by four unknown men who assaulted him. The men fled the area prior to police arrival. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The investigation continues.
Assault by Mob
On May 3 at 8:50 p.m., police responded to the 3500 block of Brookville Lane in Woodbridge for an assault. The victim, 31, of Woodbridge, reported to police he was in the area above when he was approached by five unknown men, all reported to be between 15 to 16, who began to assault him. A neighbor who witnessed the incident called police. The group fled the area prior to police arrival. The victim was transported to an area hospital with nonlife threatening injuries. The investigation continues.

ARRESTS:
On May 2 at 5:35 p.m., police responded to investigate an alleged sexual assault, which was reported to have occurred in the 12300 block of Wadsworth Way in Woodbridge. The investigation revealed the female victim, 21, of Woodbridge, was at a residence in the above area when she fell asleep in a bedroom within the residence and was awoken by the accused, a known acquaintance, raping her. The victim left the residence and contacted police. The accused was located and arrested without further incident. Arrested: Franklin Dennis Winters, 23, of 13000 Patamon Way #203 in Woodbridge. Court date set for June 2, 2011, held without bond.
