A string of Halloween Eve incidents on Oct. 31, 2024 kept Prince WilliamI County Police busy investigating and making two arrests:

INCIDENTS
• Carjacking – Unusual “test drive” - On October 31, 2024 at 8:16PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the 12800 block of Galveston Ct in Manassas (20112) to investigate a robbery.
The investigation revealed the victim, a 44-year-old man, arranged to sell his vehicle to unknown party over Facebook Marketplace. The victim met with the other man in the above area to test drive the vehicle. While both men were in the vehicle, the suspect brandished a firearm and demanded the victim’s phone before telling the victim to exit the vehicle.
The suspect then drove off in the victim’s vehicle. No injuries were reported. The victim went to a nearby business to contact police. Before officers arrived on scene, the suspect returned the vehicle and left on foot. All property was recovered. A police K-9 searched the area for the suspect who was not located.

• Armed Robbery for (Halloween) Candy? – On October 31, 2024 at 8:22PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the 13500 block of Bently Cir in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a robbery. The investigation revealed the victim, a 15-year-old male juvenile, was with two other acquaintances when they were approached by a group of male juveniles wearing dark-colored clothing and masks.
During the encounter, a physical assault occurred before one of the juveniles brandished what was believed to be a real firearm under his clothing towards the victim and demanded his property. The parties dispersed and the armed suspect dropped the weapon which was later determined to be a BB gun. No injuries were reported. The suspects took candy.

• Shooting into a Residential Dwelling – On October 31 at 5:06PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to a residence located in the 7700 block of Fern Oak Ct in Manassas (20112) to investigate a destruction of property. The investigation revealed a round found on a bathroom floor inside the home. No injuries or other property damage were reported.

ARRESTS
• Strangulation | Abduction (Domestic) – On October 31, 2024 at 4:09PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to The Flats at Neabsco Commons apartments located in the 2700 block of Neabsco Common Pl in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an assault. The investigation revealed the victim, a 29-year-old woman, and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused forcibly prevented the victim from leaving the residence. At one point, the accused began ripping the victim’s clothing and then grabbed her neck. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Dakota WALLACE, was arrested.

•  Possession of a Weapon on School Property – On October 31, 2024 the School Resource Officer (SRO) assigned to Rippon Middle School located at 15101 Blackburn Rd in Woodbridge (22191) was alerted to a student who was in possession of a knife the day prior. The knife was found in the student’s backpack by staff members who notified the SRO. No threats were made to other students or staff. Following the investigation, the student, identified as a 12-year-old boy, was charged.
