Four businesses displaced after March 27 early morning fire in Old Bridge Rd. office building

Prince William County fire and rescue units were dispatched to the 2000 block of Old Bridge Road in Woodbridge at 5:31 a.m. this morning, Wednesday, March 27, after a passerby reported a fire through the roof of an office building. Crews arrived with heavy fire showing from a two—story office building.

Assistant Fire Chief Matthew Smolsky reported that large master streams were utilized to extinguish the blaze. There were no injuries reported. A total of four businesses have been displaced.  At 9:30 a.m. Smolsky said srews are still on the scene extinguishing hot spots and conducting overhaul.  Members of the Fire Marshal’s Office also are on scene conducting an investigation into the cause of the fire, Smolsky added.
