• Strong-Arm Robbery - UPDATE – While continuing the investigation into the robbery that was reported to have occurred at Woodbridge High School located at 3001 Old Bridge Rd. in Woodbridge (22192) on June 12, the School Resource Officer (SRO) identified and obtained petitions for the four suspects involved and recovered the victim’s jacket.
Three of the suspects have since been arrested while attempts to locate the fourth suspect, identified as a 16-year-old male juvenile, have been unsuccessful.

Strong-Arm Robbery [Previously Released] – On June 12 at 1:56PM, the School Resource Officer at Woodbridge High School located at 3001 Old Bridge Rd. in Woodbridge (22192) was notified by school personnel of a robbery. The investigation revealed the victim, a 15-year-old male student, was walking in the wooded area near the school when he was approached by four unknown individuals who demanded the victim’s jacket. When the victim refused, he ran to the parking lot of the school followed by the suspects. During the encounter, the suspects assaulted the victim before taking his jacket and fleeing the area. The victim reported minor injuries. The suspects were described as three Hispanic male juveniles and one white male juvenile, all wearing dark-colored clothing. The investigation continues.
INCIDENTS
• Attempted Commercial Burglary – On Monday, July 3, 2023 at 7:39AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the PetSmart located at 10834 Sudley Manor Dr. in Manassas (20109) to investigate an attempted burglary. The investigation revealed sometime between 7:00PM on July 2 and 6:50AM on July 3, entry was attempted into the business through the sliding front door which was found damaged. At this time, no entry appears to have been made into the business and no property was reported missing.
• Attempted Residential Burglary – On Sunday, July 2, 2023 at 9:03AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to investigate an attempted burglary reported to have occurred at the Rosemary Ridge Apartments located in the 10800 block of Buttercup Pl. in Manassas (20109) at 1:30AM.
The investigation revealed that the resident of the apartment awakened to a loud noise. Upon looking outside, an individual was observed appearing to be running away from their apartment. While investigating the incident, officers determined the bedroom window was possibly tampered with. No entry was made into the apartment and no property was reported missing.
ARRESTS
• Strangulation | Domestic Related – On Saturday, July 1, 2023 at 7:06PM,Prince William County Police officers responded to a residence located 3500 block of Buffalo Ct. in the Dale City area of Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a domestic dispute. The investigation revealed the victim, a 24-year-old woman, and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated.
During the encounter, the accused struck the victim before pushing her down and grabbing her neck. The parties eventually separated, and the police were contacted. While investigating the incident, officers determined the accused was intoxicated and detained him. The victim reported minor injuries. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Jeremias JOYA ARGUETA, was arrested.

• Strangulation – On Saturday, July 1, 2023 at 5:34PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to investigate an assault that was reported to have occurred at the Potomac Vista Apartments located in the 14100 block of Bay Vista Dr. in Woodbridge (22191) earlier that day.
The investigation revealed the victim, a 16-year-old female juvenile, and an occupant of the apartment, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused grabbed the victim by the neck before the two parties eventually separated. The victim reported the incident to a family member who contacted the police. The victim reported minor injuries. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Toyette Marchell HAZZARD, was arrested.

• Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On Monday, July 3, 2023 at 9:29AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the Dollar Tree located at 8315 Sudley Rd. in Manassas (20109) to investigate a shoplifting.
Officers located the suspect nearby and attempted to detain him. During the encounter, the accused actively resisted and kicked an officer before eventually being detained. While investigating the incident, officers determined the accused was in possession of the stolen items from the store and suspected illegal narcotics. The officer reported minor injuries. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Jose Mauricio CABRERA ALEMAN, was arrested.
