Fatal crash on Sudley Road near Manassas Mall

Fatal Crash Investigation – On December 20, 2022 at 10:43PM, investigators with the Prince William County Police Department’s Crash Investigation Unit responded to the 8400 block of Sudley Rd in Manassas (20109) to investigate a single vehicle crash. The investigation revealed the driver of a 2014 Honda Civic was traveling at a high rate of speed east on Sudley Rd approaching Rixlew Ln when the driver lost control of the vehicle and struck a curb. The vehicle rolled several times before coming to rest in the parking lot of a local business.

The driver was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and was ejected from the vehicle. Fire & rescue personnel transported the driver to an area hospital where he later died as a result of his injuries sustained in the crash. A 24-year-old female front seat passenger in the vehicle was wearing a seat belt and sustained minor injuries. No other vehicles were involved in the crash. Investigators with the Crash Investigation Unit are asking anyone who may have witnessed this crash to contact police. The investigation continues.
