Sentara Hospital in Woodbridge: Platinum Award for higher standard of care for heart attack patients

Sentara Hospital’s Northern Virginia Medical Center in Woodbridge is one of 11 Sentara hospitals that have received an American College of Cardiology’s NCDR Chest Pain   ̶  MI Registry Performance Achievement Award for 2022. Seven Sentara Healthcare hospitals—including the one in Woodbridge—received the Platinum award, the highest achievement, that was bestowed upon only 240 hospitals nationwide.

The award recognizes Sentara’s commitment and success in implementing a higher standard of care for heart attack patients. Each hospital reached an aggressive goal of treating patients to standard levels of care as outlined by the American College of Cardiology and the American Heart Association.
