Police report shots ring out shortly before July 4 at Sudley Rd. car wash; four men shot

Shooting Investigation – On Sunday, July 3, 2022 at 11:51PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the parking lot of the Sams Car Wash located at 8129 Sudley Rd in Manassas (20109) to investigate a shooting. The investigation revealed a large gathering was occurring at the location when an argument ensued.

During the encounter, the altercation escalated when multiple gunshots were fired before the gathering dispersed. In all. four men were shot.

Officers arrived on scene quickly and located evidence of a shooting. While investigating the incident, an adult male was located in the area of Nimitz Ct and Fairmount Ave suffering from gunshot wounds. Officers responded to the area and provided immediate first aid to the man until rescue personnel arrived on scene.

Two additional adult males were driven to an area hospital, also suffering from gunshot wounds. Officers arrived at the hospital and determined the two men were present at the shooting.

A fourth adult male was also later identified as being at the location at the time of the shooting and had been shot.

Three of the men were flown to an area trauma center while the fourth man was ground transported. The men ranged in age from 23 to 26. At this time, all injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.
