Dumfries man, 19, charged with kidnapping and sexual assault of woman in Lake Ridge

Sexual Assault Investigation – On Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at 2:56PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to a residence located in the Lake Ridge (22192) area of Prince William County to investigate a rape. The investigation revealed the victim, an 18-year-old woman, and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were driving together when the accused drove to a remote location in the Lake Ridge area.

Once parked, the accused got into the backseat with the victim where he proceeded to sexually assault her. At one point, the victim got out of the vehicle and attempted to walk away. The accused grabbed the victim and directed her back to the vehicle. As the accused continued driving, he assaulted the victim before stopping and ordering the victim out of the vehicle.

The victim walked to her home and informed a family member of the incident who contacted police. Following the investigation, detectives with the Special Victims Bureau obtained arrest warrants for the accused, identified as a Jaheim Machi Lee BROADDUS. The accused was located and taken into custody later that day.
