Police look for suspect who sexually assaulted a woman who was jogging near Dale City Feb. 25

Sexual Assault Investigation – On Friday February 25, 2022 at 6:35PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the area of Dale Blvd and Ridgefield Rd in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a sexual assault. The victim, a 36-year-old woman, reported to police that she was jogging in the above area when she was grabbed from behind by an unknown man. During the encounter, the man inappropriately touched the victim before she was able to push the man away, according to First Sgt. Jonathan Perok, Public Information Officer.

The victim ran from the suspect before calling police and meeting officers at a nearby business. The victim believed the man was possibly intoxicated and was last seen going into the wooded area to rear of Quiet Pl. The victim was not injured. Officers searched the area for the suspect who was not located. Detectives are asking anyone who may have information regarding this incident to contact police. The investigation continues.

Black male, light-skinned, tall with shoulder-length dreadlocks and minimal facial hair
Last seen wearing black hooded sweatshirt, jeans, shoes, and a black mask
