On March 24, 2019 at approximately 5:03 p.m., officers of the Manassas City Police Department responded to the 9600 block of Cloverhill Rd for a report of a hit and run, according to Manassas City Police.

The historic Aden Road bridge and the recently built new Aden Road bridge over Norfolk Southern Railroad are open, now allowing for two-way traffic on Aden Road in Nokesville.

On March 14 at 8:36PM, Prince William County police officers responded to the intersection of Piper Ln and Nokesville Rd (Rt. 28) in Manassas (20109) for an officer-involved crash, according to Sgt. Jonathan Perok, police department spokesman. Emergency personnel transported both drivers to the hospital.

On Tuesday, March 19 from 2-4:30 p.m. at the Hylton Performing Arts Center, the Prince William Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the 2019 Valor Awards, honoring those first responders who help keep our community a safe place!

Students at Westridge Elementary School in Woodbridge hosted an assembly to celebrate African-American history, where they shared stories and music from many aspects of African-American culture.

The Prince William County School Board unanimously approved a recommendation to name “Parkway Elementary School” after John D. Jenkins, who passed away after a long illness on February 6, 2019. The new elementary school will open in August and is located at 4060 Prince William Parkway in Woodbridge.

Chief Barry Barnard of the Prince William County Police Department will host his 13th “Conversation with the Chief” on Thursday, March 14, at West Gate Elementary School located at 8031 Urbanna Road in Manassas beginning at 7 p.m.
