On April 7 at 6:26PM, while on proactive patrol, officers conducted a vehicle stop on a vehicle near Aden Rd. and Misty Creek Ct. in Nokesville (20181). During the stop, the driver, identified as the accused, was found to have outstanding arrest warrants. When officers attempted to detain the accused, he resisted and fled on foot.

The victim, a 31-year-old woman, reported to police that she had left her sleeping 2-year-old child in her unsecured, running vehicle just outside a business in the above area. After being in the store briefly, the victim observed her vehicle, a Toyota SUV, being driven away with her child still inside.

Duane Mohr has received the Natural Resources Conservation Service’s (NRCS’) highest award for volunteerism, a news release said. The agency selected Mohr as the nation’s top individual volunteer for outstanding contributions to the Earth Team Program through his work with the Prince William Soil & Water Conservation District (SWCD).

Detectives from the Prince William County Police Homicide Unit charged two additional suspects in connection to the 2017 murder of Miguel Angel RUIZ CARRILLO, according to Sgt. Jonathan Perok, police department spokesman. The victim’s body was discovered in the area of Nokesville Rd and Fauquier Dr in Nokesville on August 22, 2017 after he was initially reported missing to Fairfax County Police earlier that month.
