Prince William County Police report that police officers found the bodies of two adult women inside the residence by police during a welfare check, both appearing to have been shot. Both victims were pronounced dead on the scene. A person of interest has been detained in Shenandoah County, according to a police report.

Prince William County's Assistant Fire Chief Matt Smolsky reports that units were dispatched to the 4500 block of Lawnvale Drive in Haymarket at 4:01 a.m. today, March 23, for a reported house fire. Crews arrived and upon investigation determined a previously discovered a bathroom ceiling fan fire had ignited material inside a wall.

Prince William County Police Department crash investigators said their investigation revealed the driver of a 2016 Toyota Corolla was traveling southbound on Richmond Hwy. at a high rate of speed. At one point, the driver lost control, crossed over the median into the northbound lanes, and struck a 2023 Chrysler Pacifica.

Authorities are seeking information about an "extremely emaciated" mixed breed hound about 6-12 months old that was abandoned at C. Lacey Compton Neighborhood Park in Woodbridge last Saturday morning, March 2, about 10:30 a.m., reportedly by a man driving a newer model white Range Rover.
