Manassas Council names Steve Burke as new Manassas City Manager

Steve Burke, an Assistant City Manager and Director of Public Works for the City of Manassas, has been named City Manager by Manassas City Council effective February. 3, 2025. Interim City Manager Douglas Keen will return to his post as Police Chief and an Assistant City Manager.

Two charged with assault on law enforcement officers in separate weekend incidents

Police officers who were dispatched to investigate a "domestic" on Saturday night in Woodbridge and on Sunday morning in Bristow charged suspects with assault and battery on a law enforcement officer.

Woodbridge homeowner reported to police that at 4:30AM on Oct. 19, she observed an unknown individual wearing all black clothing enter her bedroom.

Two food delivery persons report robberies by three suspects Oct. 21 in Lake Ridge

The victim, a 26-year-old male, reported to police that while making a food delivery in the above area, he was approached by three unknown males who took the money from the victim before fleeing the area on foot. Later in the evening, an additional incident was reported near the above address where three suspects attempted to obtain money in a similar manner. The investigation revealed that the suspects were the same in both incidents.

Four taken to juvenile detention after allegedly firing BB guns at juvenile as she walked away

On October 13 at 7:00PM, officers responded to investigate a malicious wounding that was reported to have occurred in the 1400 block of Bayside Ave. in Woodbridge (22191) the evening prior. The victim, a 14-year-old female juvenile, encountered four acquaintances who fired their bb guns at her as she walked away from them.

Police looking for man of many identities wanted for five counts of sexual battery

On September 27, detectives with the Special Victims Unit concluded an investigation into a sexual assault that was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the Woodbridge area (22191) of Prince William County between June and September.
