As the investigation into the officer-involved shooting that occurred at a residence located in the 3000 block of Bromley Ct in Woodbridge (22192) on August 1, 2024 progresses, preliminary details are being released to keep our community informed of the events leading up to the encounter.

The investigation revealed a man, later identified as the accused, was lying on a public bench in the area of the area of the Prince William Pkwy near Marblestone Dr. in Woodbridge when he fired a round from a handgun, striking his foot.
