Manassas Council names Steve Burke as new Manassas City Manager

Steve Burke, an Assistant City Manager and Director of Public Works for the City of Manassas, has been named City Manager by Manassas City Council effective February. 3, 2025. Interim City Manager Douglas Keen will return to his post as Police Chief and an Assistant City Manager.

While investigating, officers learned there were additional occupants inside the home with the accused at the time of the incident.

The victim, a 44-year-old woman, reported to police that she was inside the residence when an acquaintance, identified as the accused, followed her into a room where he prevented her from leaving. During the encounter, the accused attempted to rape the victim.

Dad arrested after attempting to take 3-year-old son from Woodbridge home

On September 5 at 8:42PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 15300 block of Elizabeth Burbage Lp. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a fight. The altercation escalated when the accused retrieved a machete and confronted the child’s mother and her family.
