Fauquier County Public Schools will participate in an earthquake drill on Thursday, Oct. 15, at 10:15 a.m. The drill is part of the fourth annual Great SouthEast ShakeOut, a multi-state simultaneous earthquake drill in which participants practice the recommended action to take during an actual earthquake.

Manassas Police ask for community’s help in shooting investigation

Manassas City Police would like to thank the public for its patience as Investigators work tirelessly on the case, and for citizens’ tips that have provided helpful leads in their investigation. Detectives are actively pursuing additional leads. PWC Police investigating shooting in Woodbridge

Prince William County Police detectives are currently on the scene of a shooting in the 4300 block of Wrangler Ln., Woodbridge, and are conducting an investigation. One victim has sustained a gunshot injury to the lower body. Altercation is believed to have taken place prior, according to Sergeant Jonathan L. Perok of the Prince William County Police Public Information Office.

All-County Choruses prepare for Oct. 24 concert

Hundreds of choral students from middle and high schools across the county are practicing for the upcoming All County Chorus event on October 23 and 24 at Patriot High School. The event will challenge select singers as they rehearse new music with guest conductors.
