Prince William Board of County Supervisors and the Prince William County Police Department will conduct a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the new Charlie T. Deane Police Station on Tuesday, June 19, at 11:30 a.m. The ceremony, open to the public, will be followed by tours of the facility, at 5036 Davis Ford Road, in Woodbridge. An open house with demonstrations for the community will be at the new police station this Saturday, June 23 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Drivers on Route 234 should start to see traffic improvements around Hoadly Road. The Prince William County Department of Transportation recently completed a project that added an additional left-turn lane from Route 234 onto Hoadly Road.

In late spring and early summer bears are hungry and on the move in search of food. This primal need can cause them to conflict with homeowners and residents using parks and other unimproved areas. There has already been a sighting in eastern Prince William County.
