Prince William County Police report that police officers found the bodies of two adult women inside the residence by police during a welfare check, both appearing to have been shot. Both victims were pronounced dead on the scene. A person of interest has been detained in Shenandoah County, according to a police report.

Prince William County Police Department crash investigators said their investigation revealed the driver of a 2016 Toyota Corolla was traveling southbound on Richmond Hwy. at a high rate of speed. At one point, the driver lost control, crossed over the median into the northbound lanes, and struck a 2023 Chrysler Pacifica.

Twenty people - five adults and 15 children - were displaced Friday when a house in the 6100 block of Oust Lane, Woodbridge, caught fire from a burning candle, according to Matt Smolsky, Assistant Fire Chief/Fire Marshal for Prince William County Fire & Rescue. No one was injured.
