PWC Annual Holiday Walk of Lights at Neabsco Regional Park opens Dec. 6

Prince William County Parks and Recreation is hosting its annual Holiday Walk of Lights at Neabsco Regional Park for the third year. The FREE lights display begins Friday, Dec. 6. New this year: Visitors can experience the magic of the holiday season with visits from holiday characters, joyful holiday music sung by carolers and an unforgettable holiday shopping experience on select nights.

PWC police continue to investigate July 25 accidental shooting of Woodbridge boy, 4

Prince William County VA Police are continuing their investigation into the death of a four-year-old boy of Woodbridge boy, 4, on July 15, after a family member called to report a gunshot wound to the head at 3:25 p.m. At this time, it appears the shooting was accidental and that the injury was self-inflicted, according to Officer Jonathan Perok, police spokesman. The name of the deceased was released July 26.

Earthquake drill to recall first anniversary of Mineral quake

The Virginia Department of Emergency Management has announced that there will be a regional earthquake drill Oct. 18 at 10:18 a.m. in the southeast United States, and Virginia has signed on as a participant.
