On Thursday, Jan. 9, 2025 at 6:19PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the 8300 block of Sunset Dr. in Manassas (20110) to investigate a shooting.
Congressman Rob Wittman (VA-1), who represents part of the Prince William County area, will lead a subcommittee hearing this afternoon, March 14, on the question “Is Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) Appropriate at this Time?” Wittman, chairman of the House Armed Services Readiness Subcommittee, will receive testimony from Department of Defense officials.
Lake Ridge Middle School will host an open house on Thursday, April 11, at 7 p.m. Parents and guardians are encouraged to meet their child's teachers and visit their classrooms.
On March 13, 2013, at approximately 11:44 a.m. fire and rescue units were dispatched to a structure fire in a single-family home located in the 14500 block of Stephens Street in Nokesville. The fire was extinguished and no injuries were reported.

On March 12, Virginia residents can practice taking cover from tornadoes during the Statewide Tornado Drill, at 9:45 a.m. The National Weather Service will send a test tornado warning that will trigger a tone alert and broadcast message on NOAA Weather Radio.
