On Monday, August 12, at approximately 6:15 p.m., Prince William County Fire and Rescue units were dispatched to a two-story single family house fire in the 13100 block of Piedmont Vista Drive. Upon arrival, fire and rescue units found a rapidly spreading fire on the back side of the house extending into the attic, according to fire officials.
Greater Prince William Health Center on Ridgewood Center Drive in Woodbridge/Lake Ridge is offering free health screenings for all Prince William County residents, Aug. 13-15, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. during National Health Center Week.

In its third year, the Southern Fauquier farmers market in Bealeton expects to grow as the season progresses, according to the founder and manager Teresa Shifflett. The market is open on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Liberty Station on US 15.

My first visit to Manassas Park Farmer's Market was between thunderstorms, yet the vendors wiped up the water from their booths and shoppers were out in full force finding fresh, local products as they dodged the rain.
