Milton Johns, chairman of the Prince William County School Board, announced this morning that he will not be a candidate for reelection in 2015. His term ends Dec. 31, 2015, concluding 12 years service on the school board.

Governor Terry McAuliffe has announced new export sales of Virginia apples to India, a significant market opening in one of the world’s largest economies and population bases.
American Red Cross will be holding blood drives in Prince William County and Manassas city as the year draws to a close at such locations as an ice rink, Manassas Mall and a library. Especially needed are blood donors with type O negative, A negative or B negative.
A police K-9 was used to search for a suspect on December 9th around 5 PM, after officers responded to the area of Adler Ln and Coachcrest Ct in Manassas (20109) to investigate a robbery reported by cab driver.
On December 10th, detectives from the Prince William County VA Police Department's Robbery Unit identified and arrested two of the suspects involved in the robbery which was reported to have occurred in the 1500 block of Randall Ct in Woodbridge VA on November 27th.
Congress member-elect Barbara Comstock has been named to the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee and the Science, Space, and Technology Committee for the 114th Congress. She will be sworn in on January 6th
