On Friday, Nov. 22, the American Red Cross will mark the grand opening of its new state-of-the-art blood donation center in Manassas. This new facility will collect thousands of blood products each year from generous donors who roll up a sleeve to help save lives.

This 40-day initiative is an opportunity for Catholics throughout the greater Washington, D.C. metropolitan area to come back to the Catholic Church through the Sacrament of Confession.

The Prince William County School Board meeting, originally scheduled to be held tonight, Wednesday, February 18, has been cancelled.​

"World Spay Day" is Tuesday, Feb. 24 and the Prince William County Animal Shelter is offering that any cat or dog adopted out on that date will be spayed or neutered at no charge to the new owner.

Prince William County Fire and Rescue reported Feb. 18 that on Monday, Feb. 16 at approximately 5:30 p.m. fire and rescue crews were dispatched to a structure fire in a single-family home located in the 6200 block of Occoquan Forest Drive in Manassas.

Manassas residents who would like to have a conversation about a Manassas City matter are invited to "Coffee with Your Councilman" Ian Lovejoy on Saturday, Feb. 28. from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Ground Central Station, 9250 Main Street, in Old Town Manassas. Lovejoy said it is an opportunity to talk about city government and support a small local business at the same time.

On Tuesday, February 16th at approximately 5:30 a.m., fire and rescue crews were dispatched to a tent fire located in the 14100 block of Minnieville Road in Woodbridge. Upon arrival, fire and rescue units discovered an adult male residing in the woods with burns to his hands and front of his body.

While there is no legal requirement in Prince William County to do so, residents and businesses are encouraged to remove snow from sidewalks, if they are able.
