The Haymarket Town & Country Garden Club has been busy preparing for its annual Holiday Shoppe which will be held this coming Friday, Nov. 22 from 10 to 5 and Saturday, Nov. 23 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Prince William Fire & Rescue Station 15 Community Hall on US Rte. 15 in Haymarket.
Barbara Comstock, US Representative for the 10th District, has announced an opportunity for young women currently enrolled in middle school and high school to participate in the 10th Congressional District Young Women Leadership Program this summer. Deadline for applying is April 30.

About 6500 residents from Prince William County, Manassas and Manasaas Park voted in the unusual "firehouse canvass" April 25 to select Republican candidates for November. All incumbent office holders won out over their challengers.

A new HMart supermarket, opened to shoppers at 9:30 this morning, April 25, in the space at Manassas Junction formerly occupied by Giant Food. The new store stocks lots of fresh produce and fresh seafood and many traditional grocery items. Regular hours are 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week.

Republicans in Prince William County, Manassas and Manassas Park will be able to vote between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. this Saturday, April 25 to choose GOP candidates for sheriff, clerk of court, supervisor chairman and several supervisor seats. There is just one polling place per district; city GOPers vote at Metz; government issued ID required.

Manassas City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in an active search for Tyler D. ABT (23), who was reported missing on April 21st and possibly suicidal.
A total of 154 large bags of trash and 16 bags of recyclables were collected during FOTO's spring Occoquan cleanup at five sites along the river. The volunteers picked up 8 tires, several pieces of lumber boards, 4x4 and 2x4’s, a wooden cross and other building materials.
Supervisor Jeanine Lawson and School Board member Gil Trenum invite the Brentsville District to attend their joint town hall meeting on public safety, at Patriot High School, 10504 Kettle Run Rd in Nokesville on Tuesday, April 28th starting at 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium.
