The Haymarket Town & Country Garden Club has been busy preparing for its annual Holiday Shoppe which will be held this coming Friday, Nov. 22 from 10 to 5 and Saturday, Nov. 23 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Prince William Fire & Rescue Station 15 Community Hall on US Rte. 15 in Haymarket.

Passionate students from Forest Park and Hylton High Schools, calling themselves “Spriggs United,” plan a May 23 walk to open a dialogue on mental health and invite others to join them.
The Memorial Day Ceremony at the Freedom Museum at Manassas Airport will start at 2:30 PM with the reading of the names of Prince William service members who died during their military service followed by the National Moment of Silence at 3:00 PM and then the official opening of the PFC. Today, May 17, marks the 27th anniversary of the filing of a missing persons report on Jerry D. Plaster who was last seen on April 16, 1988. Plaster, age 27 at the time he disappeared, left his home to go to Manassas Mall and has not been seen since. He would be 54 now. Anyone with information is asked to call Manassas City Police at 703-257-8092.
Fatal Crash Investigation – On May 15th at 12:17AM, investigators from Prince William County Police Department's Crash Investigation Unit responded to the area of Dumfries Rd and Talon Dr in Dumfries (22025) to investigate a two vehicle crash, according to a news release from Officer Jonathan Perok, police department spokesman.
Prince William County Police are renewing efforts to find clues to the murder of Glenda Coca-Romero at the Platanillos Grocery and Jewelry at 14342 Jefferson Davis Highway in the Woodbridge area of Prince William County on February 21, 2014 shortly before 9:00p.m. A $21,000 reward is being offered.
Mrs. Linda Sue Greenfield, who was reported as missing and endangered, has been located and is safe, Prince William County Police reported at 11:11 p.m. May 14.

Loving, a motion picture based on the true story of Richard and Mildred Loving, a Virginia married couple who, in 1958, were arrested for violating a state law at the time prohibiting interracial marriage will be filmed in Virginia. The couple sued. Their case was ultimately heard in 1967 by the U.S. Supreme Court, becoming a landmark civil rights case in defense of marriage equality.
